GUIDE / VERIFY

How to verify forklift part fitment

A matching name or photograph is not enough. Fitment becomes defensible only when the machine, catalog edition, assembly, and part record agree.

Bind the search to one machine

Confirm the manufacturer, model variant, and serial number. Use the serial range printed in the source, not an estimated production period, to select the catalog edition.

Confirm the assembly and callout

The part must occur in the bill of materials for the correct node. When an exploded drawing is used as evidence, the callout must be visibly printed on that drawing and correspond to the same row in the parts list.

Treat replacements as a chain

A superseding number proves a replacement relationship, not universal fitment. Follow the chain from the original machine record and keep direction and source visible.

  • Catalog node and printed position
  • Original number and supersession direction
