How to find the correct forklift part
A reliable search starts with machine identity and ends with catalog evidence. Use this workflow when the old part has no readable label or when one number appears in several catalogs.
1. Record the machine identity
Write down the manufacturer, complete model designation, serial number, and approximate production year. A photograph of the data plate is often more useful than a shortened model name.
- Manufacturer and full model
- Serial or chassis number
- Production year and attachment configuration
2. Add the strongest part clue
Use the number printed on the removed part when available. Otherwise describe the assembly, the part function, its position, connector count, dimensions, or the failure symptom. Do not treat a casting number as an orderable OEM number until the catalog confirms it.
3. Verify before ordering
Open the catalog node, compare the serial range, check supersessions, and confirm the printed callout. If one of these links is missing, ask for clarification instead of choosing the first plausible match.
